Fight Fight Fight
Fight, Fight, Fight!
Now that we are beginning a new year, I feel like talking about our future. My future, your future, your neighbors future, the list goes on and on. Change can be good for all of us, but I believe that the change that the American people voted for in the White House is a change that is not only good for many people, but it's good for our country!
When Donald Trump first announced that he was running for president in 2015 (I think that's when it was), I was not a fan. His past associations with liberal and left leaning people caused me to be concerned about whether or not he would actually govern like a conservative Republican. As the Republicans were going through the primary process of deciding who was going to be the candidate, I did not vote for him. There were others running that I thought could do much better.
But after he won the primary and became the republican candidate, I started watching more and paying more attention to not only what he said, but what others said that actually KNEW him. It was obvious to me that, although he came off as very arrogant, people that knew him believed that he cared about our country and cared about helping people. And even though a lot of people did not like him, I decided to give him a shot (what can you lose when the other choice is Hillary Clinton?)
When President Trump was elected the first time, it didn't take long to realize that he was the kind of guy that would make things happen. And what I loved about him is that most of the things we care about, he did too, and vowed to make changes for the better. And change things he did!
Unfortunately, the hatred that people had for him caused a lot of strife during his first term, and he didn't get a fair shot when it came time to be reelected. Yes, I believe he had enough votes to be reelected in 2020, so I am a believer that the election was stolen by democrats who want to radically change our country into a socialist country.
Fast forward 4 years, and 4 indictments, and at least 2 attempts to assassinate him. And somehow, he made it through it all, and now stands as our 47th president!
Someone might ask, how did he lose 4 years ago, but gain such a decisive victory to become president? Well, I can think of any number of things, but one thing that immediately comes to mind - on that day in Pennsylvania, when the snipers bullet clipped his ear, only missing certain death my millimeters (clearly a Godly intervention), with Secret Service agents helping him up, guarding him, trying to escort him to the vehicle, he stands with raised fist and says "fight, fight, fight!"
I believe that he connected with many people that day. People who had been forgotten, people who didn't like what they had been seeing, but weren't sure they could trust him to make changes. But that event and iconic moment changed everything, including him. And I believe what played out that day helped propel him to the presidency!
Of course, none of this happens without God's intervention. In God's providence, I believe that he saved Donald Trumps life to give America one more chance to get things right with Him. I believe the next 4 years gives us a chance to turn our hearts back to God, and set things straight about the way we conduct ourselves in America. It won't be easy, but if you love the Lord and want to see our country go back to honoring Him first, I'm ready to "fight, fight, fight" with you!
God Bless You
